Bowood House and Gardens

As Bowood Hotel is located on the fabulous Bowood Estate, you can really make the most of your stay by paying a visit to the House and Gardens! Entry to the House and Gardens is free to hotel guests, and the added bonus of a door-to-door free buggy ride from the hotel will really get your visit off to a great start!

Bowood welcomes families, and offers a wide variety of options to keep kids of all ages entertained and happy during their stay!  We’ve a wide choice of room options, including interconnecting doors, family rooms and the exclusive Queenwood Lodge for larger families. Children (under 12) can enjoy the fun of the fantastic Adventure Playground, which is one of South West England’s most exciting and famous Adventure Playgrounds.  Designed by the present Marquis, it opened in 1976 and is built from wood from the Bowood estate.  There is also the Famous Space Dive - this wide vertical slide is a modern version of a Victorian design, which starts with a shocking 19 foot vertical drop! .  Younger Children (under 7) can enjoy The Partridge Play Pen, which includes log bridges, swinging log steps, stepping stones and balancing beams..
