Please find outlined below information which endeavours to ensure an enjoyable visit to Bowood for all guests regardless of whether they may be affected in some way by a medical condition, disability, impairment, or specific learning difficulty.
The Bowood team provide the maximum care and attention to all guests to make their stay is as comfortable as possible:
- Pre-arrival information/assistance
- Free parking adjacent to the hotel; marked disabled bays
- 24 hour help with luggage
- Reception on ground floor, at hotel entrance
- Registration card can be enlarged
- Fully trained and supportive staff team
- Shelburne Restaurant, Bar, Library and Drawing Room on ground floor
- No steps or slopes en route or at entrance to restaurant or bars in the hotel.
- Golf Clubhouse is accessible via Kerry Suite
- Internal hotel phone on reception desk for guest use
- Doors and corridors are wide enough for wheelchairs / walking frames / pushchairs
- Disabled toilet on ground floor
- Ground floor bedrooms, level access, large en-suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms have grab rails, hearing loop and emergency assistance cords. Vibrating pillows on request
- Rooms suitable for families or carers
- Changing rooms located on the ground floor, with easy access. Pool is accessed via fixed ladder, with handrail to assist entry
- Service dogs are allowed in the hotel
